As the need for adult social care continues to rise, it's important that care workers have up-to-date support and guidance that allows them to provide the best care possible for the people they work with. You will also learn the importance of safeguarding, equality and diversity, and duty of care.

This course is accredited by ICQ (Icanqualify) a leading educational awarding organisation.  Recognised by the UK department for Education and regulated by Ofqual.

Upon enrolment you will have access to our Online Learning Platform giving you access to extensive study material – you will have regular meetings with your Personal Training Advisor who will support you through to completion.

How long will my course take?

We often refer to our online courses as 'flexible learning' because they're designed to be completed around your work and home life commitments. Each of our online courses has its own set duration, which depends on the course and how many units there are to complete. You'll typically have 12 weeks to complete.

 

Do I need internet access to complete this course?


Yes, you will need internet access and a device such as a laptop or a desktop computer.  If you have not got this access please speak to the Enrolment Team and share your circumstances.

 

Do I need to talk to my trainer or can I just work independently?

You will be allocated a Personal Training Advisor who will need to have regular communication with you during your course.  They will provide teaching, Support, Information, Advice and Guidance about what you might do next. If your course is Government Funded, it is a requirement for you to have a monthly review with your trainer.

 

How long does it take to receive my certificate?

Certificates can take up to 12 weeks to process. Once you've completed your course and your tutor has marked your work, it will then be sent for quality assurance. As our qualifications are nationally recognised and accredited, we'll then need to claim your certificate from the awarding organisation.

An online digital certificate will be available to you on your Ilearner account as soon as the awarding body have issued it.  To arrange postage of your physical certificate please contact the office on 0121 240 3989

This course is government funded; you must meet the following criteria to be able to study for free:

  • You must currently live in England    
  • You must have been resident in the UK/EU for 3+ years, for purposes other than study    
  • You must be over the age of 19   
  • You must not be on an apprenticeship
